Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) delivered a speech on the Floor of the U.S. House of Representatives regarding his appointment to the House Agriculture, House Transportation and Infrastructure, and House Small Business Committees.

“I am honored to serve on these committees – we have a lot of work to do,” said Rep. Mann. “Over the next two years, we need to reauthorize the Farm Bill and develop new trade agreements that benefit American producers. We need to reauthorize FAA and the Water Resources Development Act, protect producers from a burdensome and overreaching definition of Waters of the United States, and ensure that our small and regional airports have the support they need. We also need to maintain the stepped-up basis, return money to small businesses that would have been allocated instead to IRS watchdogs, and ensure that small businesses have a fair shot at government contracts. I will be working on a wide variety of issues, but I’m bringing the same Kansas conservative approach to all of them: honesty, hard work, respect for your roots, service, simplicity, genuine thoughtful care for people, and common sense.”
