WICHITA, KAN. – A federal grand jury in Wichita returned an indictment charging a Kansas woman with stealing gift cards from the mail as an employee of United States Postal Service.
According to court documents, Paula Kendall, 39, of Haysville was indicted on three counts of theft of mail by postal employee for allegedly stealing mail between November and December 2022.
The U.S. Postal Service – Office of the Inspector General is investigating the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Molly Gordon is prosecuting the case.
OTHER INDICTMENTS
Clifton Ray Weatherspoon, 30, and Antonio Dawayne Knight, 24, both of Wichita were indicted on one count of possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute. Weatherspoon was also indicted on
one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating the case. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Deb Barnett and Ola
Odeyemi are prosecuting the case. An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
