Abilene, KS- Village Manor in Abilene, an affiliate of Memorial Health System (MHS), has once again been awarded five stars by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The rating will be published on the Care Compare website at medicare.gov.

“This is the result of hard work and perseverance by the staff of Village Manor,” said Memorial Health System Chief Executive Officer Harold Courtois. “This is not an easy goal to obtain, and maintain, yet Andy Sutter (Village Manor Executive Director) and the entire staff continues with a commitment to provide a quality facility for the residents.”

Nursing homes with five stars, the highest rating possible, are considered to be well above average quality. The system determines an overall star rating for each nursing home and a separate rating for health inspections, staffing, and quality measures, which offer information on how well nursing homes are caring for their residents’ physical and clinical needs. The star rating system is designed to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and to help identify areas about which consumers may want to ask questions.
