Geary County, KS- Beginning Tuesday, July 5, the Kansas Department of Transportation will begin work to widen and resurface K-244 in Geary County.

 

Work on K-244 will occur from the K-244/RS270 (Milford Road) junction and proceed east about four miles to the K-57/K-244 junction in Geary County.

 

Flaggers and a pilot car will direct one lane of traffic through the construction zone. Drivers should be prepared for a delay of up to 15 minutes and plan extra time in their travel schedules.

 

APAC-Kansas Inc. of Hutchinson is the prime contractor for this $657,827 project, which is scheduled for completion by August, weather permitting.
