Clay Center, KS- Erin Hammel, the owner of Happy Hippie in Clay Center, who recently just celebrated their 2 year anniversary at their location, has announced their expansion to a location in Aggieville that once previously housed Public Hall.

Erin said they have signed a lease to open a Happy Hippie Health Bar in Aggieville, but there wont be any yoga, massage therapy, or aestheticians, but you can still expect the same great menu of smoothies and other items. And even though there isn’t going to be a yoga studio in the new Happy Hippie, Erin says they share a wall with a yoga studio that does health and fitness services.

So why the expansion? Erin says she wasn’t even looking to expand, but knew it was something she wanted to do, but within five to 10 years.

Erin says she would walk around Clay Center praying that whenever the opportunity to expand would come up and she would take it, and that’s exactly what happened.  The owner of Public Hall messaged her and asked Happy Hippie to be in the space.

Erin is hoping to have the new location opened by April 1st as long as she has properly trained staff at both locations, but she is willing to hold back if she needs to.  The new shop will have the same hours as the Clay Center shop, 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday.

Erin was named Grow Clay County’s Top 30 Under 30 Entrepreneur in the state of Kansas by the Kansas Department of Commerce in June of 2022.
