Clay Center, KS- It’s not something new, people are always looking for an open day care provider to help care for their little while they go to appointments, go to work, or even for the child to have interaction with other children their age.  Austin Gillard, Chief Executive Officer from Clay County Medical Center said that many new day cares have opened within the community, but there’s a need for team members at the hospital.  Especially for drop-in day cares.

Gillard says right now the house is being used for travelling nurses, doctors, and med students, but because of the other options within the community, the home will be fully for the day care.

CCMC will provide the home, main meals, furnishings and equipment, and pay all utilities for the Group Daycare Home. The daycare provider will be responsible for the license, and exceeding all child care requirements per the Kansas Department of Health & Environment Division of Public Health. The licensed daycare provider will not be an employee of CCMC.

The daycare will need to be open Monday through Friday, except recognized holidays and those interested should contact Austin Gillard at 785-632-2144 or through email at agillard@ccmcks.org.
